Peanut Butter Sheet Cake is a humid sheet cake topped with a tremendous creamy and candy peanut butter icing. It is a peanut butter lover’s dream and proper for potlucks and picnics.

Peanut butter is almost the merely meals I can consume each single day and never get drained of. I typically bounce my day with a banana and a spoon filled with peanut butter. I fully love the stuff.

Normally whilst it involves desserts, I want peanut butter paired with chocolate. AKA the finest factor ever.

But usually a natural peanut butter dessert is simply what I’m craving.

With peanut butter within the cake batter and the icing, there’s lots of peanut butter style on this peanut butter sheet cake.

It’s baked in a 10×15-inch pan and will simply be cut into 20 items so it's proper for bringing to a summer season potluck or picnic.

Ingredients
Cake

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 (12 tablespoons) sticks butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Frosting

  • 2 sticks (1 cup) butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 3 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 3 to four tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons on the spot vanilla pudding mix


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 10x15x1 inch jellyroll pan.
  2. In a big bowl, whisk collectively flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Combine 1 1/2 sticks butter and 1 cup water in a medium saucepan and deliver to a simmer. Sitr to make certain all butter is melted.
  4. Whisk 1/2 cup peanut butter and vegetable oil into butter mixture. Stir into flour mixture.
  5. Whisk collectively eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla extract. Stir into flour combination till properly combined.
  6. Pour batter into ready pan.
  7. Bake for 22 to 26 minutes or till a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool.
  8. To make frosting, use an electrical mixer to beat butter and peanut butter collectively till smooth.
  9. Add half of confectioners' sugar and half of milk and beat till smooth.
  10. Add ultimate confectioners' sugar, milk and the vanilla pudding blend and beat till smooth. Add a bit of extra milk if necessary.
  11. Spread frosting on cake.
